Tour Plan

Day 1: Hanoi – Ha Giang city – Nam Dam village
Our private guide and driver will pick you up, we will head to Ha Giang city, one of the focal points in the northern loop.
After a smooth 5-hour drive, we arrive in Ha Giang and have lunch in a local restaurant. Following lunch, we drive to Quan Ba and check into Quan Ba heaven gate for an overview of Quan Ba town before going further to Nam Dam, a Red Dao community in the region.
 
After checking into our homestay, we will have a small walk around the village to feel the life and interact with the local people. The rest of the day, you will dine and relax at the homestay.

Day 2: Dong Van - Ma Pi Leng Pass – Meo Vac
After breakfast, we say goodbye to the host and heading to Dong Van. It's time to get off the beaten path to the hidden H’mong village, the King’s Palace. Afterward, you will climb up to Lung Cu Flag Tower, where the panoramic view of local villages, rice terraces, China side & splendid mountains come into sight.
 
After lunch in a local restaurant, we continue to explore the ancient Thiên Hương village. The Tay ethnic minority here live upon farming and liquor making. Moving deep into the village, you will see the ancient roofs that are over 100 years. The houses' ancient architecture is still beautifully preserved with yin yang roofs and solid walls.
 
Before checking in our homestay for the night, we enjoy the Ma Pi Leng Pass and its majestic view of towering mountains & Nho Que River underneath. Overnight in Dong Van

Mèo Vạc - Cao Bang city - Green Door Homestay
After breakfast, we will say goodbye to the homestay in Dong Van Meo Vac and head to Cao Bang in a 4-hour scenic drive through several mountain passes. After lunchtime in Cao Bang city, we will continue our drive to Trung Khanh, a district sharing a border with China and check into  Green Door homestay. The day ends with the specialties prepared by your warm-hearted local host.

Day 4: Po Tau ancient market - Ban Gioc waterfall – Nguom Ngao cave, Picnic lunch at Co La waterfall - Bamboo rafting at Ban Viet lake
After breakfast with roasted duck noodle soup and steamed rice rolls (if it’s a market day, we will have breakfast in Po Tau ancient market), we transfer to visit Ban Gioc waterfall (a.k.a the biggest waterfall in North Vietnam). The trip is followed by a walk into the Nguom Ngao cave and a Phat Tich Truc Lam pagoda hike. From the pagoda, you can have the whole view of Ban Gioc Waterfall wrapped in paddy fields and mountain ranges.
 
Your picnic lunch today is quite close to the natural setting and in a hidden corner of Trung Khanh named Co La waterfall. After the lunch break with some leisure time, we transfer to Ban Viet lake where you will paddle the bamboo raft by yourself. Enjoy the fresh air, the gentle breeze, and the ultimate serenity of this isolated lake from the out-there life.
 
In the late afternoon, after the sunset, we come back to Greendoor homestay. Time for shower and refreshments before dinner is served.

Day 5: Visit Phuc Sen ironmongery village – Explore Phia Thap incense village – Lang Son - Hanoi
After breakfast and checking out of Greendoor, we will take our drive to visit Phuc Sen ironmongery village and Phia Thap incense village. It’s your chance to witness some of the most well-preserved and developed traditional handcraft jobs in Cao Bang. Leaving those villages, we continue our drive further to Hanoi via Lang Son and have a lunch stop en-route at a local restaurant. We will arrive downtown in Hanoi in the evening and drop you off at your hotel. End of our services.
